Hi All!
We are so excited to share our new logo with you. We think it succinctly and creatively captures our name and our mission - to inform young women about gender and equity in the medical field in order to create future change. Despite our name being SheMD, we are for women with any grouping of letters after their name that work in the medical field - whether that is SheDO, ShePA, SheDPT. Implicit bias and gender inequity don't discriminate based on titles and degrees. We ALL face similar issues in healthcare.
Our goal is to provide knowledge and education to pre-med students who may find themselves in any NUMBER of medical careers in the future, to med students trying to figure out what specialty they want to focus on and how to get there, and to residents trying to survive and thrive at the same time as new physicians.
