Dr. Sydelle Ross is an anesthesiologist and pain specialist who practices hospice and palliative medicine. She holds board certifications in all three disciplines and currently practices in the New Jersey Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. She has an interest in using non-pharmacologic interventions for symptom management in the field of hospice and palliative medicine. As a classically trained vocalist, she incorporates music into her medical practice as a means of providing comfort to patients who are battling life-threatening illnesses. Dr. Ross is a member of the VA’s Healing Arts Committee and also serves on an advisory board for the VA’s initiative to implement non-pharmacologic therapies for the management of chronic pain. As a volunteer artist, she offers the gift of music to underserved populations in various healthcare facilities throughout New York City.
