Barbara Hamilton, MD is a private practice interventional radiologist (IR) and the author of Save Lives, Enjoy Your Own: Finding Your Place in Medicine. Her mission is to patch the leaky pipeline of women who are interested in traditionally male-dominated fields like her own.

She is a leader both locally and nationally, serving as Chief of Interventional Radiology and the incoming Chair of Radiology at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California. She is a Past Chair of the Women in IR Section of the Society of Interventional Radiology and serves as Deputy Editor of IR Quarterly.
