Megan de Kok is a first year medical student at Rocky Vista University in Colorado. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology at the University of Florida with a minor in Health Disparities. After graduation she worked as a medical scribe at a level-1 trauma center in South Florida, then at UF Health in Jacksonville (where she met Dr. Parsons), and as a teaching assistant for Plant Biology. She moved to Colorado in 2017 to attend the Master of Biomedical Science program at RVU, where her fiancé was starting his first year of medical school. After grad school, she worked as Training and Project Coordinator and surgical assistant to a Mohs surgeon, where her love of procedures was born. Her specialty interests are Reconstructive/Plastic surgery, Mohs surgery, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, and Critical Care... amongst others.  When she is not studying, she is a content editor for and nurtures her creative side with graphic design. She also loves everything about Colorado, especially brunch downtown, camping, hiking with her two Bernedoodles, and cross-country skiing.  You can follow her on Instagram @megandekok
