Sonali is a Critical Care Physician, Simulation Educator, Creative Arts Enthusiast and Hatha Yoga teacher. Born and raised in India, she graduated from Sri Ramachandra Medical College in Chennai, India. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital and fellowship in Critical Care Medicine from Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. She has worked at Harlem Hospital, New York and St. Vincent’s Hospital, Connecticut as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine Attending. A Global Citizen, she relishes and incorporates her experience of working in both the East and West and loves using Social Media to bridge differences and engage in meaningful dialogues. An avid traveler and hiker, she enjoys dancing, music, art and yoga. She is passionate about Gender Parity, Physician Wellness and Palliative Care, working earnestly to shift the paradigm from simply extending life, to striving for quality of life and dying well.
