Dr. Praise Matemavi attended Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor and received her Associate Degree in Nursing. She then went on to get a Bachelors Degree in Applied Science from Siena Heights University. She worked for 3 years as a Cardiac Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, MI. She completed a General Surgery Residency at New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital and an Abdominal Transplant and HPB Surgery Fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson MS. She loves spending time with her family, running, doing missions and motivating young women to pursue their wildest dreams.
