About

Elizabeth Rempfer, MD is a PGY-1 resident physician in Emergency Medicine at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. A first generation college student, she grew up in rural New Hampshire but traversed southward to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wake Forest University in 2015 and her Medical Doctorate from West Virginia University in 2020. She first worked as an EMT-B for her collegiate emergency response team and started on a path towards a career in Emergency Medicine. During her time at WVU, she was president of their Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society chapter and held multiple leadership positions in community service organizations.

Her specific interests within Emergency Medicine include disaster response, EMS, medical education and mentorship for first generation students. Outside of medicine, she loves to explore D.C. museums, local cultural festivals, haunted locations, and sleepy coastal towns with her husband, Kyle, and her husky, India.
